Job Description

A well-known, aggressive CPA firm is ready to add the next leader to the team. This opportunity is part of the firms plan for growth and the strengthening of the public tax side of business. They are seeking a Senior Tax Manager to oversee a team of highly motivated staff. The successful Senior Tax Manager will have high ethical standards and make an impact on day one. This position is fast tracked to partnership. Performance Expectations for the Senior Tax Manager:
  • Oversee and train a team of highly motivated staff accountants/tax accountants
  • Provide tax compliance and consulting to a diverse base of clients
  • Oversee complex tax projects for a variety of clients and diverse industries
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients
  • Be a hands-on leader
Experience/Qualifications for the Senior Tax Manager:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Finance, or Equivalent
  • Master of Science and Taxation degree (highly desirable)
  • CPA Certificate required
  • 8+ years of proven experience in public accounting, with 5 years in a tax supervisory role
  • Must have the ability to utilize firm technology to enhance client service
  • Must have strong multi-tasking skills
  • Must have strong leadership skills
  • Must be willing to work >40 hours per week during busy season
  • Applicants must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
