Firmware Engineer

Hring Embedded Firmware Engineer in San Diego, CA to develop and optimize embedded firmware and FPGA logic for camera-based real-time systems. This role combines embedded firmware, FPGA work, and performance optimization.

What You'll Do
- Work with hardware, system architects, and application developers to integrate your firmware into the full product
- Participate in design and architecture discussions for new product features
- Debug, troubleshoot, and test firmware to ensure reliability and speed
- Mentor junior engineers and help guide best practices in real-time embedded design
- 6 years of experience in embedded systems
- Strong skills in bare metal / real-time C/C development
- Hands-on experience working with:
- FPGA
- DDR
- Flash memory
- I2C, SPI
- RTOS
- LVDS
- Ability to design for high-speed, low-latency performance
- Strong debugging skills, including JTAG
- Solid understanding of real-time constraints (latency, timing, throughput)
