Maintenance Technician Electrical/Mechanical Position

Inspect, repair, install, adjust, test, calibrate and maintain all electrical/mechanical equipment and instruments in effort to support continuous plant operations.
Job functions below are included but not limited to:
- Performs all maintenance functions (mechanical or electrical/electronic) necessary to maintain all operating and service equipment, including mobile equipment as required.
- Operates equipment in conjunction with repairs and provides assistance in operating functions as necessary to maintain continuity of operations.
- May work alone, with minimal supervision or with other Maintenance Technicians and coordinates and works in conjunction with operating team members in the performance of maintenance tasks.
- Performs scheduled maintenance activities as required or assigned by Supervisor.
Education/Experience:
- Prior experience with Maintenance/Electrical etc.
- High School diploma and/or GED required.
- Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); work near moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and outdoor weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to work in high, precarious places; extreme heat (non-weather); and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with noise level in some areas high. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Physical Demands: The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Tools & Equipment: Front-end loader, Bobcat, Dump truck, Forklift, Cherry picker, various handtools, Brooms, Shovels, Water/Air hoses, Conveyor belts, Cleaning Agents, Water, Lubricants.
Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, using whole numbers.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
