Job Summary:

A Mechanical Engineer solves problems using advanced concepts, defines/modifies/creates required engineering/design practices, manages projects and delegates tasks, leads compliance to standard processes, ensures own work and supports others to ensure on-time, error-free designs.

Resolves technical issues and effectively escalates team issues and helps others do the same.

Essential/Key Functions:

  • Works independently to solve technical problems and deliver engineering solutions
  • Understand requirements and converts requirements into engineering work products
  • Provide guidance to less-experienced engineers
  • Respond to requests from Manufacturing, Sourcing, Quality, and other functional groups
  • Demonstrates Milacron values
  • Takes full accountability of personal work
  • Sets priorities for workflow
  • Develops and proposes solutions to difficult problems
Minimum (Required) Qualifications:
  • 3-5 Years of Progressive Engineering experience
  • BS Engineering or equivalent combination of education/experience/training plus additional specialized training related to the position
  • General knowledge on multiple subsystems
  • General knowledge of cross-functional processes
  • Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools.
  • Proficient in MS Office tools
  • Ability to use a number of collaboration tools such as team-based document control, video conferencing, scheduling meetings, conference calls, etc.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with sound decision making based on structured data analysis
  • Multi-disciplined Systems engineering background preferred.
