Our client, a leading technology company focused on industry, infrastructure, transport, and healthcare, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Technician Intern to join their team. You will be part of the production department supporting the manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be a student pursuing a Mechanical/ Industrial Engineering degree, at least in their sophomore year of college/university. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and analytical skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Technician Intern
Location: Grand Prairie, TX
Pay Range: $27/hour
Shift: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm / Part-time: 30 hours onsite per week
Duration: 10-week internship

What's the Job?
  • Conduct time and motion studies to understand current production processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in line balancing to optimize labor distribution across key areas of manufacturing.
  • Support the development and implementation of standard work procedures.
  • Collect and analyze production data to identify trends and recommend process improvements.
  • Assist in designing and creating fixtures or devices to enhance workflow efficiency.
  • Document findings and present actionable ideas for improvement to leadership.
What's Needed?
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering (Sophomore year minimum).
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles (Green Belt certification ).
  • Familiarity with time studies and line balancing concepts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, data analysis, self-sufficient use).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
