Your Role as Pharmacy Director

  • Communicate the hospital and organization’s mission to pharmacy staff, motivating them to enhance their performance and capabilities.
  • Manage pharmacy department operations, including scheduling and process improvements to maximize efficiency.
  • Provide direct patient and pharmaceutical care.
  • Ensure clinical health system pharmacy practices, including antimicrobial stewardship and medication safety, are maintained.
  • Educate staff on pharmaceutical care, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date with new medications and collaborate on departmental budgets.
  • Lead various hospital committees, including Quality Assurance and Safety, as needed.
  • Celebrate the successes and accomplishments of your dedicated team.

Qualifications

  • Must be licensed in good standing by the State Pharmacy Board.
  • Hold a degree from an accredited pharmacy program or an equivalent recognized program.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Available to work on religious and/or legal holidays if required.
