We are looking for a dedicated Full-Time Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) to become a vital part of our gastroenterology team. In this role, you will work independently to provide exceptional care to patients, contributing significantly to their healthcare journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver autonomous patient care in a gastroenterology practice.
- Conduct thorough health histories, physical assessments, and pre-procedure evaluations for patients with gastrointestinal issues.
- Prescribe medications in accordance with Washington State regulations.
- Document patient information meticulously to ensure continuity of care.
- Collaborate with physicians to address both immediate and long-term medical needs of patients.
- Maintain patient records and provide guidance through triage of patient calls.
- Participate in clinical research studies as opportunities arise.
- Provide coverage for infusion clinics and, if necessary, inpatient hospital duties.
- Perform other assigned tasks as required.
This position typically works within WAGI clinics during weekdays, with occasional weekend or holiday coverage for hospital duties.
Qualifications
For Physician Assistant candidates:
- Graduate from a CAHEA-approved Physician Assistant program.
- Current WA State Physician Assistant License.
- DEA prescriptive authority.
- Current BLS certification.
- WA State Driver’s license for travel to local clinics or hospitals.
- Strong foundation in physical assessment, differential diagnosis, pathophysiology, pharmacology, and management of health conditions.
- Preferred clinical experience in gastroenterology or relevant fields.
For Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner candidates:
- Current WA State RN License.
- Current WA State Nurse Practitioner License.
- DEA prescriptive authority.
- Current BLS certification.
- WA State Driver’s license for travel to local clinics or hospitals.
- Strong foundation in physical assessment, differential diagnosis, pathophysiology, pharmacology, and management of health conditions.
- Preferred clinical experience in gastroenterology or relevant fields.
Skills and Abilities

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for long durations throughout the day.
- Capable of performing administrative tasks, including extended periods of computer use.
- Physical agility for bending, twisting, reaching, and carrying up to 15 pounds.
- Skilled in the precise use of medical instruments.
Work Environment
- Work within Medical Clinics and local hospitals. Remote work is possible, adhering to PHI regulations and telecommuting requirements, except for specific city ordinances. Approval required for out-of-state remote work.
Compensation and Benefits
At WAGI, full-time employees enjoy an excellent benefits package, including comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, long-term disability, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan with a company-safe harbor contribution. You will accrue PTO and vacation, receive paid holidays, malpractice insurance, a CME reimbursement budget of $5,400 per two years, and five days of paid CME time off annually. A hiring bonus of $10,000 is also available for new hires. The salary range for this role is between $115,000 and $160,000, with eligibility for annual discretionary bonuses.
