About Our Client

My client is seeking a Big Box Superintendent to lead the on-site execution of large commercial retail projects in the Cincinnati area. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned field leader with strong organizational skills, a passion for quality construction, and the ability to manage complex builds while maintaining safety, schedule, and budget priorities

Job Description
  • Oversee day-to-day field operations for big box retail construction sites.
  • Lead and mentor field teams including foremen and trade partners.
  • Maintain superior standards of safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Coordinate closely with Project Managers to ensure alignment on schedule, logistics, and project goals.
  • Enforce compliance with project specifications, local codes, and contract requirements.
  • Communicate proactively with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot on-site challenges with timely, practical solutions.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Superintendent - Big Box Retail Projects should have:
  • Minimum 5-10+ years of commercial construction field experience, with substantial exposure to large-scale retail/big box projects.
  • Proven success managing multi-million-dollar construction sites from start to finish.
  • Deep knowledge of construction means & methods, scheduling, and site logistics.
  • Strong leadership and team coordination capabilities.
  • Expertise reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and RFIs.
  • Solid understanding of safety protocols and OSHA standards.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
