Radiation Therapist

- Administer daily prescribed doses for radiation therapy treatments.
- Adhere to standard work.
- Follow principles of radiation protection for patient, self and others and utilize appropriate health and safety equipment to protect both patient and staff.
- Position patients for treatment with accuracy according to prescription.
- Educate, prepare and reassure patients and their families by answering questions, providing physical assistance, and reinforcing physicians' advice regarding treatment reactions and post-treatment care.
- Fosters an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion, and respect for all patients, families and visitors.
- Contributes to the training of radiation therapy students.
- Demonstrates continued professional growth through setting goals and participating in educational offerings.
Qualifications:
- Zero to one year of related work experience
- ARRT Certification
- SCRQSA Certification
- BLS Certification
