The Opportunity
Join our dynamic Member Value team as a Director of Member Value Analytics. In this influential role, you will lead an outstanding team to revolutionize member service experiences through comprehensive analytics. You will uncover valuable insights that drive member satisfaction and value, refine our service strategies, and enhance performance. Collaborate with business leaders, mentor a skilled team, and convert complex data into actionable recommendations that lead to meaningful change. Help shape the future of member experience with data-driven insights.
This role is eligible for remote work within the continental U.S., with occasional business travel. However, candidates located within a 60-mile radius of a USAA office will need to work on-site four days per week.
Relocation assistance is offered for this position.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and collaborate on strategic, tactical, operational, and financial responsibilities related to data storage, preparation, exploration, governance, and analytics.
- Oversee the strategy execution for information delivery and analytics platforms, partnering with key stakeholders.
- Drive the end-to-end process of information management, analytics, and delivery.
- Integrate industry trends and best practices into current processes and technology development.
- Provide thought leadership to influence decisions regarding data, information, and application architecture.
- Identify opportunities to enhance reporting, analytics, and innovate self-service capabilities.
- Deliver strategic insights to senior leaders and stakeholders that align with functional objectives.
- Set analytic direction that informs business strategies and drives impactful changes.
- Manage innovation and provide guidance on work prioritization and problem resolution.
- Ensure the delivery experience meets business process standards and effectively presents findings.
- Uncover opportunities for advanced data utilization and effective business solutions.
- Identify and manage risks associated with business activities in compliance with relevant policies.
What You Have:
- Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering, or related; or 4 additional years of related experience may substitute for the degree.
- 8 years of experience in data and analytics, generating results within a complex financial services organization.
- 3 years of experience leading high-performance teams.
- Proficient in collaborating with resources and stakeholders to influence decisions and achieve strategic goals.
- Strong business acumen in evaluating business outcomes and understanding industry practices.
- Experience leading projects using Agile methodologies.
- Capability to conduct large-scale data analysis to support business decisions.
- Proven ability to narrate data stories and communicate effectively with executive leadership.
What Sets You Apart:
- Prior U.S. military service or being a military spouse/domestic partner is highly valued.
- An advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or related disciplines.
- A deep understanding of the customer/member journey and service operations.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement advanced analytical strategies to enhance member experience.
- Exceptional communication skills, with a talent for translating complex insights into business impact.
- Proven track record in building and leading high-performing analytics teams towards strategic objectives.
Compensation Range: The salary range for this position is: $164,780 - $314,960.
Compensation: USAA utilizes an effective process to assess market data and establish competitive salary ranges based on experience. Actual salary may vary by location.
Employees may be eligible for performance-based incentives at the discretion of USAA's Board of Directors.
