Insight Global is looking for a Network Engineer to join their team onsite 3 days a week in Hartford, CT. The network engineer is going to be mainly managing a Tier 2 service provider network that offers services such as internet, content catching, VPNS, cloud connect, firewalls, etc. The Network Engineering would be expected to perform optimizations such as tuning, upgrading and troubleshooting any network issues insuring that there is security and functionality around the network. They would also have to solve and network problems around installation, provisioning, and decommissioning of devices and services. The Network engineer would oversee the network implementation processes in terms of setting schedules and budgets as well. There is also a component of the role that would revolve around maintaining and monitoring inventory, assets and tracking of equipment, parts and materials. The ideal candidate would be independent and motivated, and be able to lead testing and recommend various different purchases of hardware, software and security. They would be expected to respond to service requests and incidents in a timely manner.

Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience as a Network Engineer OR Master's degree in related field
- Experience with scripting using Python, Perl, Bash or Ansible
- Experience with Cisco ONS 15454/NCS2k or other networking platforms
- Experience leveraging BGP, OSPF, and/or ISIS in medium to large scale enterprise networks
- Understanding of OSI Layers 1-4 and TCP/IP protocols

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- CCNP Certification
- Career certifications in cybersecurity, programming, and/or cloud provider service
