Job description:

Performance Responsibilities:
Evaluation:

1.To complete thorough and timely Occupational Therapy Assessment in the areas of motor performance, daily living skills, sensory integration and perception, neuromuscular development and pre-vocational skills.
a. Occupational Therapists will assess students referred for evaluation using appropriate testing instruments.
b. Occupational Therapists will write reports that reflect the results of standardized tests and observations that contain information helpful and understandable to all involved parties and that contain clear recommendations.
c. Evaluations will be performed within timelines established in state and federal regulations.

Therapy Services and Collaboration
1.Therapy and consultation services will be provided to students based on the individual needs of each student and in compliance with each child s IEP.
2.Occupational Therapists will provide services in the least restrictive setting.
3..Help design and adapt equipment useful to the particular needs of the students, such as writing and feeding tools.
4. Occupational Therapists are expected to maintain records of prior planning of lessons and to keep therapy notes for each child and therapy session and to maintain accurate records of student attendance.
5. Occupational Therapists are expected to develop, update and adhere to both a daily and weekly schedule.
6. Perform all other duties as assigned by the Director/Supervisor of Special Education or designee.

Pay: $56,372.00 - $84,000.00 per year

Qualifications:
1. Master's Degree with a Major in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
2. Licensed by the Board of Allied Health Professionals
3. A minimum of one year experience with children in a school setting preferred
4. Demonstrated ability to consult with teachers and parents regarding treatment
5. Experience with special education documentation and the TEAM evaluation process
