Description

• Conduct evaluations of patients belonging to pediatric, adult, and geriatric groups utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans focusing on immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions that emphasize language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges.
• Engage in collaborative care with interdisciplinary professionals such as physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members.
• Provide education to patients and their families to encourage progress in everyday life outside of clinical settings.
• Assist with inpatient speech therapy evaluations and treatments as necessary, ensuring seamless care along the entire journey.
• Document all procedures accurately and in a timely manner following state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Commit to ongoing professional development through continued education and peer collaboration.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited educational institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
