Position Summary:

The Associate Accounting Director will be responsible for leading general ledger (GL) accounting and financial reporting activities. This role manages the accounting team, ensures accurate and timely reporting, and provides insights to support leadership decision-making. The position also plays a key role in process improvements, compliance, and staff development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage monthly and quarterly close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, schedules, analysis, and consolidations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes, drive efficiencies, and support automation initiatives.
  • Supervise consolidation and reporting activities, including financial analysis and supporting documentation.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Lead, coach, and develop team members, establishing goals and supporting career growth.
  • Monitor and implement new accounting standards and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Support the adoption of new technologies and tools to enhance accounting processes.
  • Partner with auditors during reviews and maintain internal control documentation.
  • Contribute to special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required; CPA or MBA preferred.
  • 8+ years of accounting or auditing experience, with at least 4 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial consolidations.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, Excel, and reporting/analytics tools.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and developing teams.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines.


Salary Range: $145k - $185k
