Overview

Barr Family Dentistry is looking for a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. This role plays a key part in creating a welcoming environment for patients while also handling essential administrative tasks, including scheduling, billing, and front office coordination. Schedule

This full-time position follows a schedule of Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in patients in a courteous and professional manner
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments
  • Answer incoming phone calls and direct them appropriately
  • Handle patient billing and payment processing
  • Update and maintain patient records with accuracy
  • Assist with insurance verifications and basic claims follow-up
  • Keep the front desk and reception area clean, stocked, and organized
  • Support the dental team with additional administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a dental office or similar front desk role is preferred
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Organized, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple tasks at once
  • Familiarity with scheduling software and general billing processes
  • Positive attitude and a team-player mindset
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
