Sr. IT Project Manager

This Project Manager would be handling typical responsibilities including time tracking, resource management, project plans, milestone updates etc. Projects this PM may be working on could include examples like: website related projects, custom application development, customer facing tools including customer interface updates and enhancements to enterprise systems. 80% of the projects are application development focused. This PM would also be working with offshore teams.
1. Define, control, and manage project scope to ensure alignment with business goals.
2. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules to ensure timely delivery of milestones and final outcomes.
3. Develop and maintain project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
4. Track project progress against baseline.
5. Manage internal and external project stakeholders, including coordinating with and overseeing third-party vendors.
6. Assemble and lead cross-functional project teams based on project scope and requirements.
7. Define and assign individual responsibilities, ensuring team members are aligned with project objectives.
8. Identify and secure appropriate resources (human, technical, and financial) necessary for successful project execution.
9. Proactively monitor and communicate project status, risks, and issues to team members, stakeholders, and senior management.
10. Actively manage project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on scope, timeline, or budget.
11. Take initiative to resolve issues and remove obstacles that may impede project progress or quality.
12. Other duties as requested.

Required Skills & Experience

5-8 years of experience IT specific Project Management experience
**Program Management exposure is required.
Could include:
• Custom software development projects
• Cloud based application projects
• Software implementations and development projects
Smartsheet - project plans but any project plan tool is important (MS Project, smartsheet, clarity, etc)
Jira/Confluence for documentation - big plus
Standard project size is a few hundred thousand- looking for a candidate to handle small/medium sized projects; 3-5 small or 2-3 medium sized projects
- invoicing/budget/resources exposure would be good but doesn't have to be extensive.
Strong Communication - will be working with various business units
Self-Starter
