Your Key Responsibilities
- Conducting thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and creating personalized care strategies
- Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic health conditions in alignment with physicians or autonomously
- Providing patient and family education on health promotion, wellness, and chronic disease management
- Prescribing appropriate medications and therapies within your professional scope
- Engaging in follow-up care and chronic disease management
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care
- Maintaining accurate and detailed documentation via electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Graduation from a recognized Nurse Practitioner educational program
- Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Virginia
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- Strong clinical skills coupled with an empathetic approach to patient care
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations and medical teams
- Ability to adapt in dynamic, patient-centered practice settings
- Familiarity with EMR systems and proficiency with telehealth technology
