A Typical Day...

As a Tax Specialist at H&R Block, you'll benefit from comprehensive training provided by a team of experts dedicated to your success. You'll also enjoy the flexibility to balance your unique life and career while having opportunities for extra earnings.

• Conduct engaging tax interviews with clients in-person and through virtual channels such as video, phone, chat, and email.

• Prepare thorough and accurate tax returns to ensure client satisfaction.

• Drive business growth by enhancing client retention and offering additional products and services.

• Assist clients with IRS inquiries and support their needs effectively.

• Collaborate with team members to achieve office objectives and maintain a positive work environment.

• Continuously expand your tax knowledge and expertise throughout your career.

It would be even better if you also had...

• A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.

• Prior experience in customer service or retail roles.

• A background in fast-paced, supportive working environments.

• The ability to commit to a minimum of 25-35 hours per week during tax season and up to 40 hours during peak weeks.

What you'll bring to the team...

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course.

• Experience within a high-energy work environment.

• Proficiency in using virtual communication tools such as video, phone, and chat.

• Strong communication skills in-person, over the phone, and in writing.

• Compliance with all IRS and applicable state requirements.

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
