Technical Support Analyst (Billing Systems, CSG, Functional Design)

Optomi, in partnership with a national telecommunications provider, is seeking a Technical Support Analyst to assist with functional design, configuration, and support for 3rd party billing systems. This role supports ongoing work tied to CSG integrations and enhancements, and requires someone who can bridge business logic, functional design, and hands-on system support. You'll join a fast-moving team where accuracy, communication, and strong analytical skills are essential. Experience of the right candidate:

  • 2-4 years of experience supporting or working with billing systems such as CSG, ICOMS, AMDOCS, or similar platforms.
  • Background participating in functional design or build activities for a billing system.
  • Experience with business rules, logic, and process workflows tied to billing operations.
  • Prior involvement in UAT testing, validating functional changes, and reviewing system outputs.
  • Strong analytical skills and proven proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, logic functions).
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort presenting to senior leaders.
  • Ability to speak up in meetings, push for clarity, and advocate for correct system logic.
  • High attention to detail, organized working style, and a personality that gets ahead of issues rather than reacting to them.
  • Coding experience is a plus.

Responsibilities of the right candidate:

  • Support ongoing work related to 3rd party billing systems, primarily CSG.
  • Assist in the functional design and build of billing system enhancements.
  • Sit in on design calls and help translate requirements into clear functional updates.
  • Analyze system behavior, troubleshoot issues, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate in UAT testing, compare expected vs. actual results, and document findings.
  • Create and refine business logic documentation and workflow steps.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive alignment and quality.
  • Provide training, reference materials, and documentation for system updates.
  • Maintain consistent communication with leadership, especially on high-visibility changes.
  • Bring a proactive, detail-driven approach to all responsibilities.
