Eagle Health is seeking a Financial / Budget Analyst to join our team supporting the Defense Health Agency in Aurora, CO. Come join the winning team with great benefits
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Budget Analyst for fiscal services with the Defense Health Agency.
- Prepare administrative reports, prepare and present financial briefings, perform in-depth analysis of budget requests, and consider unforeseen factors in development and production.
- Serve as the functional point of contact for day-to-day budget/financial issues.
- Perform budget formulation work involving review and preparation of budget estimates and financial plans.
- Perform budget execution and administration work involving the monitoring of obligations incurred and the actual expenditures of funds.
- Provide advice, assistance, and guidance on budgeting and related information and conducting analyses, reviews, and special studies of budget and/or related information.
- Accurately forecast and document the organizational budget and promote organizational effectiveness and efficiency by ensuring that revenues and expenditures are being used in a timely manner.
The above salary range represents the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Job Requirements
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience in the healthcare services industry preferred, particularly within environments focused on revenue capture, revenue cycle, payor contracting, claims management, and cost containment.
- Attention to detail and demonstration of quick follow-up to study needs, commits to quality.
- Demonstrated adaptability, handles day to day work challenges confidently, is willing and able to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities; shows resilience in the face of challenges, demonstrates flexibility.
- Interpersonal skills and clear oral and written communication skills. Must be a team player.
- Shows work commitment sets high standards of performance; pursues aggressive goals and works efficiently to achieve them.
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with majoring accounting, finance, or related field.
- Five plus years of experience in the development of budgets (government budgets preferred)
- Five plus years of experience in budgets
- Experience using Oracle
- Experience forecasting and variance analysis
- Experience in Business Intelligence reporting systems
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may also qualify.
