As a rapidly expanding primary care provider, we need talented individuals to join our team and be a part of our unique approach to healthcare.
The Clinical Director will oversee and supervise Clinical Directors within the assigned market. This role holds accountability for center performance objectives, growth, and nurturing our culture. In addition to leading clinical operations, a portion of your time will also be allocated to providing direct patient care as a Primary Care Provider (PCP) and other clinical duties.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead clinical outcomes and day-to-day management of Medical Directors across multiple centers, maintaining a regular presence within these centers.
- Drive successful clinical operations and ensure market earnings goals are met or exceeded.
- Mentor and coach Medical Directors to achieve excellent clinical outcomes.
- Facilitate talent development efforts for PCPs, Nurse Practitioners (NPs), and Medical Directors through practice shadowing, 1:1 coaching, and performance management.
- Establish a strong physician culture aligned with our core values, behaviors, and service standards.
- Support the training of new practitioners and assist in talent acquisition efforts.
- Cultivate relationships with payers, specialists, and community organizations to enhance care delivery.
- Monitor and uphold a positive market culture, responding proactively to any workplace concerns.
- Approve center-level referrals and provide backup for market utilization authorizations.
Additional Duties May Include:
- Collaborating on market quality and performance improvement initiatives.
- Reviewing monthly scorecards and delivering quarterly clinical metric analysis.
- Providing training to other entities as needed.
- Utilizing understanding of local market dynamics to promote clinical initiatives.
- Ensuring excellent clinical outcomes and service delivery as a PCP (20% of the time).
Qualifications:
- MD or DO in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a related specialty.
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience required; 3 years preferred.
- Preferred experience as a Medical Director or similar role with Medicare or Medicaid populations.
- Board eligibility is required; board certification is preferred.
- Active medical license in the state of employment.
- Demonstrated success as a high-performing physician with clinical leadership experience.
- Familiarity with population risk management or chronic disease care.
- Strong skills in building relationships, conflict management, and resolution.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experienced with electronic medical records (EMR).
- Willingness to travel up to 30% locally, regionally, and nationally.
- Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
Compensation:
$231,876 - $331,251 Salary
