The E8 Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit is seeking a dedicated weekend track night Registered Nurse to join our compassionate team. As a Rehabilitation Nurse, you will play a vital role in helping patients adapt to chronic illnesses or injuries through personalized care plans, collaboration with other healthcare professionals, and education for both patients and their caregivers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, and document care in compliance with company and legal standards.
- Order and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions effectively.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine individual patient needs and responses to care.
- Utilize clinical judgment to make informed decisions regarding patient management.
- Provide immediate care for both occupational and non-occupational illnesses and injuries.
- Administer medications as prescribed.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to develop personalized Plans of Care for all patients.
- Guide ancillary personnel and uphold professional nursing standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor's Degree).
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license is required.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) necessary.
- 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Knowledgeable in quality improvement concepts and practices.
