Project Engineer

Hendrickson is searching for a Project Engineer to be responsible for managing all technical aspects of assigned projects. This role is part of the Truck Commercial Vehicle Systems division in Woodridge, IL.
This individual will:
- Manage all technical aspects of multiple and/or major projects utilizing the Product Planning and Development Procedure.
- Designs, validates, provides test reports and sign-off documents, and ensures production readiness.
- Coordinates with CAD, FEA and laboratory personnel and interfaces with other departments in support of the above.
- Coordinates the technical design and test aspects on projects with suppliers and customers.
- Provides continuous improvement through employee development, process improvement and elimination of waste.
- Helps to assure safety in the lab and office.
- Bachelor of Science degree in technical discipline required.
- BSME/BSAgE/BSAeroE preferred.
- 4-6 years' experience in vehicle structural design (preferable heavy or medium duty truck) with exposure to dynamic structural analysis, finite element analysis, fatigue analysis, and product design.
- Demonstrated product innovation.
- SolidWorks CAD experience preferred.
- Experience working with independent suspensions a plus.
- Project management experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to meet product development deadlines.
- Frequent sitting and working at computer for extended periods of time.
- Occasional standing and walking on concrete.
- Occasional climbing stairs and fixed/vertical ladders.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 60lbs.
- Ability to push/pull carts (minimal 25lbs) and parts (minimal 60lbs).
- Ability to drive as required.
- Ability to travel 10-20% of the time to MT. Vernon, MO is required.
In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, the salary range for this position is $95,500,000-$135,000. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, qualifications, and other job-related criteria. This pay range is provided to ensure transparency and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
