JOB SUMMARY

The Team Leader obtains optimum efficiency in all crew/dept activities of the Inventory Control area while improving human safety, quality, human performance, food safety, the environment, training, and sanitation performance.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Monitor and coach employees on the importance of being personally responsible for their own safety behavior. Ensure that unsafe conditions are captured and corrected in a timely manner.
  • Develop crew members by communicating EOs individual and crew training plans.
  • Ensure correct entries into factory software. Maintain adherence to all food safety standards to ensure compliance.
  • Ensure root cause analysis is completed for all manufacturing, human, quality, and safety issues and work to implement solutions.
  • Responsible to have a high level of understanding of all production work areas: Production, Material Handlers, Warehouse, Receiving, Formulation, and Spice/Prep. Including overall job functions, computer/ scanner work required in each area and assists with solving discrepancies and fixing errors. Responsible for accurate and timely paperwork and documentation. Provide coaching and feedback when errors occur.
  • Assist in new hire orientation as needed and promote a positive training experience.
  • Responsibility to adhere to food safety and quality policies, and report concerns to their supervisor.
  • Perform other activities and duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma/GED strongly preferred
  • One to three years related experience or training
  • Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing equipment, work practices and processes.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to multi-task, focus and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills. Has ability to build rapport with every level in the facility.
  • Experience with applying root cause problem solving tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn
  • Attention to detail by organizing time and resources efficiently
  • A sense of ownership and pride in their performance and its impact on the company's success.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety guidelines.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Will report to a manufacturing facility on a full-time basis.
  • Hazards associated with working in a food manufacturing facility. Wet, humid, hot, and noisy.
  • Protective clothing or personal devices required: Rain suits, smocks, protective gloves, goggles, safety glasses, face shield, hearing protection, bump caps and/or hard hats and any other personal protective equipment (PPE) as deemed necessary to perform the job safely
