$10,000 Starting Bonus Guthrie is seeking an Optometrist to join our robust team in Corning, NY
Highlights of the Position Well-established Specialty Eye Care Clinic reaching patients in a 12-county region in both North Central PA and the Southern Tier of NY Guthrie's Department of Ophthalmology is a highly successful, dynamic, and growing multi-specialty group with 16 Optometrists and 11 Ophthalmologists Cataract/Comprehensive as well as subspecialists in Retina, Glaucoma, Cornea, Ocular Pathology, and Oculoplastics Our highly trained Optometrists practice to the fullest scope of their licensure with their own medical and primary patient base and work closely with our ophthalmologists co-managing both surgical and medical patients. Diagnostic testing includes Visual Fields, OCT, Fundus and Slit Lamp Photography and Topography - dedicated diagnostic staff support ancillary testing. Position is supported by ophthalmic assistants who will provide patient work ups, scribe and assist with practice.
Work-Life Balance
Weekly hours of Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. No call requirement
Comprehensive Compensation and Benefits
$10,000 Starting Bonus Full benefits including medical dental and disability insurance Malpractice insurance 403B and 457B retirement options; HSA option Allowance for licensure fees Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certificate and renewals $15,000 referral bonus if you refer a physician that we hire on a full-time basis Starting Salary: $145,000-$170,000

CME time and money allowances provided Teaching opportunities - Guthrie's 12 residency and fellowship programs offer the opportunity for clinical academic appointments. The successful candidate also has the potential to participate in medical student education. Guthrie is a regional campus for the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine.
