Central Fill Pharmacist

As a Central Fill Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in leading our pharmacy team, ensuring that every patient receives the highest quality care. Your leadership will help maintain operational excellence and a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and enhance the dispensing process while ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Address and resolve customer or store complaints, documenting appropriately.
  • Assist in managing inventory and maintaining accurate drug files.
  • Communicate operational issues and suggestions with the Central Fill management team.
  • Contribute to the review and improvement of policies and procedures.
  • Train and orient new pharmacists and pharmacy associates effectively.
  • Provide guidance and support to supervisors, leads, and customer service representatives.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regarding patient information handling.
  • Adhere to all state and federal drug laws and regulations.
  • Establish and maintain necessary record-keeping for compliance and reporting.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot pharmacy equipment to ensure efficiency.
  • Organize policy manuals and reference materials, ensuring staff is well-informed.
  • Invest in ongoing professional development and skills enhancement.
  • May be required to obtain additional state licensure based on business needs.
  • Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent foreign pharmacy recognition.
  • Any experience in specialty pharmacy.
  • Current clinical license for all states in your operational area.
  • Active state pharmacist licensure in good standing.
  • Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy-related technical terms and processes.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Basic math skills, including counting and simple calculations.
  • Effective oral and written communication abilities.
  • Desired: 1 year of retail pharmacy experience.
  • Experience in Central Fill or Mail Order Pharmacy environments.
  • Leadership experience in pharmacy settings.
