Snapshot / Role Overview
We're seeking a Maintenance Sales Associate in Bakersfield, CA to develop new client relationships and drive maintenance contract revenue across commercial HVAC markets.

Impact

• Build a sustainable pipeline of maintenance agreements that generate recurring revenue and long-term client partnerships

• Expand service offerings to existing accounts by identifying opportunities for repairs, replacements, and energy efficiency upgrades

• Strengthen market presence in vertical markets including healthcare, education, industrial, and commercial real estate

• Increase client retention through consultative selling that aligns HVAC solutions with business needs

• Drive profitability by converting prospecting efforts into signed contracts and ongoing service relationships

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with facility managers, building owners, and decision-makers in target markets

• Conduct site assessments to identify maintenance needs and recommend tailored HVAC service packages

• Present proposals for preventive maintenance agreements, repair services, and equipment upgrades

• Coordinate with service and operations teams to ensure seamless contract fulfillment and customer satisfaction

• Track sales activity and pipeline development using CRM tools to meet revenue targets

• Negotiate contract terms and pricing that align with company margins and client budgets

• Attend industry events and networking functions to generate leads and build brand awareness

• Collaborate with account managers and technical staff to provide accurate solutions and timely follow-up

• Monitor client satisfaction and proactively address concerns to maximize contract renewals

Requirements

Must-Haves

• 3+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in HVAC, mechanical, or facility services

• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas in a consultative sales environment

• Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems and maintenance best practices

• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to build rapport quickly

• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience selling maintenance contracts or recurring service agreements

• Familiarity with energy efficiency programs and utility rebate structures

• Technical background in HVAC service or mechanical construction

• CRM software proficiency (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar platforms)
