Job Summary and Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in staff meetings and ongoing education requirements.
  • Administer oxygen therapy and monitor oxygen levels through established protocols.
  • Administer all therapy modalities per physician orders and perform essential clinical procedures.
  • Participate in emergency response as a member of the Code Blue team.
  • Assist in advanced therapeutic procedures such as bronchoscopies and ventilator management.

Education Requirements:

  • Graduated from Vocational School in Respiratory Therapy - Required.
  • Associate's Degree - Preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum one year in critical care - Required.
  • Preferred experience in NICU/PICU and familiarity with advanced respiratory care techniques.

Licensure/Certification:

  • Virginia Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner or State Registered Respiratory Therapist - Required.
  • Active NBRC Certification - Required.
  • BLS Certification - Required.
