Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • General support of shop and field projects for LNG and natural gas plants
  • Selects equipment, components, valves, flanges, and plans layout for assembly
  • Lays out, positions, aligns pipe, and helps to fabricate components
  • Bolts and clamps to secure in position for welders
  • Pressure testing of pipe used for installation at gas plants
  • Repairs assembled pipes by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling
  • Equipment operation (e.g. lulls, lifts, fork trucks, etc.)
  • Drive trucks and/or trailers locally and occasionally to jobs sites
  • Will be required to travel in support of construction projects in the field up to 30%
  • General labor support for shop and field operations


Qualifications

Specific Knowledge & Skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and co-workers
  • Experience in the LNG, natural gas, petrochemical, oil, or power system industry
  • Knowledge of MS Excel Spreadsheet software and MS Word Processing softwar
  • General aptitude and knowledge of tools that support fabricate and construction efforts

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or five years related experience in the piping industry and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
