Schedule Details: This position includes full-time evening shifts with 8 or 10-hour workdays, Monday to Friday, with occasional overnight and weekend on-call responsibilities. Candidates should be able to respond to call within 30 minutes.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a clean, safe, and efficient operating room conducive to optimal patient care.
  • Utilize aseptic surgical techniques to prepare materials, supplies, and equipment for surgeries.
  • Set up and maintain the environmental integrity and efficiency of the operating room.
  • Assist surgeons as necessary, including passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields.
  • Transport patients and equipment as needed.
  • Maintain and check the completeness and condition of specialty carts and items.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care.

Qualifications:

  • Required: Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) within 6 months of hire.
  • Ability to lift, move, and operate medical equipment safely.

Physical Requirements: Must withstand a stressful and fast-paced environment, capable of lifting and moving heavy objects in compliance with safety protocols.
