Position Summary
TOPS Products is a leader in the tax software industry, committed to delivering innovative solutions that streamline tax preparation and compliance. We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Tester with experience in test automation and tax software testing to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products, contributing to our mission of providing exceptional user experiences.

As the QA Tester at TOPS Products, you will collaborate with a team that includes developers, design, and product management. You will instill best practices in software testing such as quality gates, test coverage, test management and tracking, and maintain a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Your role will also involve close collaboration with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals and user needs. This position requires a strong technical background, leadership skills, and a deep commitment to delivering exceptional user experiences in the tax software domain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Karate for both UI and API test automation.
  • Design and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements and user stories.
  • Perform thorough testing of tax software applications, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
  • Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and UX designers to understand and clarify requirements, ensuring test coverage and quality standards are met.
  • Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Continuously improve test automation frameworks and processes to enhance efficiency and coverage.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations for product improvements based on testing results and user feedback.
