Schedule/Hours:
Full-time evening shifts, with options for 8 or 10-hour rotations. Expect on-call responsibilities, primarily overnight shifts, with periodic weekend coverage.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient environment for optimal patient care utilizing aseptic techniques.
  • Prepare and manage surgical instruments, materials, and the sterile field for various procedures.
  • Ensure a smooth operational flow by setting up the surgical room and properly handling equipment pre-and post-procedure.
  • Assist as a Second Assistant when necessary, and proactively address any equipment or supply issues.
  • Transport patients and handle various other duties while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Exhibit the ability to assess patient needs based on their age and condition.

Qualifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 6 months of hire.
  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
  • No prior experience required.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Understanding of aseptic techniques and operating room equipment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Basic proficiency in computer usage.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to withstand a challenging, fast-paced environment.
  • Lifting, carrying, and transferring patients and equipment as needed.
  • Exposure to potential hazards including mechanical and biological risks.
