Job Title: Warehouse Associate
Location: Portsmouth, VA
Shift: M - F 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM
Pay Rate: $17.85/hr

Description:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Operator to support daily warehouse operations, ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with quality standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, and adhering to company procedures for product movement and documentation.
Responsibilities:
  • Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the quality system.
  • Operate forklifts, manage packaging and labeling of customer orders, and use computer systems for processing receipts, putaways, picks, and replenishments.
  • Inspect incoming products and verify shipments against manifests for accuracy.
  • Identify and report inventory discrepancies to Inventory Control or Management for resolution.
  • Collaborate effectively with Quality Assurance teams to disposition incoming products.
Basic Qualifications / Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to perform basic math and read, understand, and follow written operating procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to read product labels and picking sheets accurately.
  • Forklift certification (or willingness to become certified; company-provided training available).
  • Strong communication skills to report discrepancies to warehouse supervision.
  • Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment, including rolling pushcarts, electric forklifts, and manual pallet jacks.
Physical and Environmental Conditions:
  • Frequent exposure to moving equipment such as forklifts and rolling carts.
  • Work performed in temperature-controlled warehouse environments.
  • Occasional exposure to outdoor conditions when loading dock doors are open.
  • May be required to work extended hours as business needs dictate.
