Sanitation Specialist

Summary:

The Sanitation Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both customers and staff. This includes managing spills, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring adherence to our sanitation protocols. The ideal candidate will also assist with various maintenance tasks as directed by management, contributing positively to the overall operation of our facility.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Conduct regular sweeping and upkeep of the interior and exterior areas.
2. Ensure restrooms are clean and well-maintained.
3. Keep windows, doors, and coffee areas clean and presentable.
4. Monitor and maintain all trash receptacles throughout the premises.
5. Operate the trash compactor, cardboard baler, and floor scrubbing equipment when necessary.
6. Quickly address and clean spills in the warehouse to maintain safety.
7. Regularly clean and organize the employee break room according to the schedule.
8. Assist department managers with aisle cleaning efforts as required.
9. Verify compliance with HACCP guidelines and maintain Sanitation logs daily.
10. Support management with other tasks as needed.

Job Requirements:

• Strong communication skills.
• Understanding of basic sanitation guidelines.
• Familiarity with operating floor machines, balers, and compactors is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
