Schedule: Open availability required, including all shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Key Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Logistics Gate Officer to join our dynamic team. As the first point of contact at the gate, you will play a vital role in ensuring precise documentation, facilitating smooth communication with customers, and accurately logging inspections of trailers, chassis, and containers entering or exiting the facility.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and document the condition of trailers, chassis, and containers with accuracy.

  • Timely update the system with detailed inspection information.

  • Professionally answer inbound customer calls, addressing inquiries and concerns.

  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation and equipment area.

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company quality standards.

  • Coordinate with yard personnel and dispatch teams to ensure smooth operations.

  • Promptly report any equipment issues or discrepancies to supervisors.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a logistics, transportation, or yard operations environment is a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Willingness to work in an office setting, with some tasks requiring extended indoor periods.

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team to support operational efficiency.

  • Open availability for all shifts, weekends, and holidays is required.

  • Must pass a pre-employment background verification, physical, and drug screening.

The Federal Rail Administration sets and enforces safety regulations and standards for railroad operations. The use of cannabis is strictly prohibited. If applicable for the position you are applying for, you will be required to take and pass a drug screening if you receive an offer.
