RN COORDINATOR

Location: US:WI:MENOMONEE FALLS at our Froedtert Men Falls Hospital facility. This job is ON-SITE. FTE: 0.800000 Standard Hours: 32.00 Shift: Shift 1 Shift Details: Nurse Coordinator to support the Ortho Neuro Service Lines. This Coordinator role will generally consist of daytime shifts with some variable hours based on department needs. Four 8-hour days. The coordinator will occasionally need to be available during off-hours to support dept and staff. No on-call shifts and no holidays. This is an exempt position.

Job Summary: Coordinates the daily operations of specialty area. Serves as a trainer/preceptor for new and experienced staff. Functions as a clinical practitioner as a circulating RN. Assures equipment is in proper working condition and maintains ability to troubleshoot orthopedic and neuro equipment. Assists with hiring, evaluation and supervision of specialty staff. Participates in the budget process for the specialty area. Coordinates procedure instrument and implant needs with vendor representatives. Other duties as assigned.

Experience Description: Three (3) to five (5) years recent OR experience as a RN, and demonstrated competence in leadership is required. Specialty service skills and knowledge are required. Scrub experience is preferred.

Education Description: Bachelors degree in Nursing from an accredited professional school of nursing is required. An Associate degree and CNOR certification may be substituted for the Bachelors degree.

Licensure Description: Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire. CNOR is required within one year of hire.
