Required Skills:

Software Engineer, Security Foundations Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for developing cryptographic tools and solutions.

  2. Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system resources.

  3. Design backend software components for cryptography and data security systems.

  4. Conduct design and code reviews.

  5. Ensure the safe application or cryptographic tools and solution for Meta products.

  6. Solve key problems in applied cryptography.

  7. Build high-quality systems that enable a secure-by-default infrastructure while minimizing overhead in performance and developer productivity.

  8. Work closely with teams across the company to prevent malicious actors from compromising Meta infrastructure, users, communities, and data.

  9. Apply software engineering and security principals to engineer solutions that further Meta's data security posture.

  10. Innovate at scale and build solutions that are core to the security of all Meta systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and one year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation

  2. Requires at least 1 year of experience in each of the following skills:

  4. Building large-scale infrastructure applications or similar experience

  5. Building and shipping high quality work and achieving high reliability

  6. Code review, software testing and monitoring

  7. Utilizing data and analysis to explain technical problems and providing detailed feedback and solutions

Public Compensation:

$203,350/year to $240,240/year + bonus + equity + benefits
