The Senior Coordinator - Donor Relations plays a crucial role in donor stewardship. They support strong relationships with MHAOK's donors by managing donor data and ensuring timely and accurate donation processing, acknowledgement, and reporting. They act as a liaison between the organization and its supporters, handling administrative tasks and ensuring that donors feel appreciated and informed about the impact of their contributions.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain donor records and donor database, ensure complete and accurate donor information, manage data entry and assist with other administrative tasks.
  • Responsible for all aspects of monetary and in-kind gift processing, tracking, reconciliation and acknowledgement, ensuring all organizational service levels are met.
  • Track all details related to donor solicitation meetings, engagement, correspondence, pledges, payment schedules and pledge proposals.
  • Provide data support for all fundraising and engagement efforts, including campaigns and events.
  • Manage all donor and fundraising-related reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Handle donor inquiries and concerns professionally and effectively when needed.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of fundraising and education events, as well as any donor recognition activities.
  • Assist and/or manage annual giving campaigns or fundraising events, as assigned (e.g., United Way).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of experience and education in a relevant field.
  • Previous non-profit experience required, with emphasis in donor stewardship.
  • Strong CRM, database and spreadsheet skills.
  • 1 or more year of prior experience using Salesforce or similar software.
  • 3 or more years of prior experience in fundraising, gift processing, database management, data extrapolation and analysis.
  • Strong verbal and written communication - active listening and empathy are crucial.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working with executive leadership and internal/external stakeholders.
WORK CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled office setting, where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, poor ventilation, fumes and gases are unlikely.
  • The noise level is moderate and includes sounds of normal office equipment (printers, fax machine, phones, etc.)
  • No environmental hazards are encountered in the normal performance of job duties.
  • Work requires a flexible work schedule due to internal and external meetings. Occasional travel may be required; must have reliable transportation.
  • Daily work involves standing and walking for brief periods of time, with most duties being performed from a seated position, but events may require extended time standing or walking.
  • Work may include occasional pushing, pulling, or carrying objects up to 20 pounds such as files, documents, and computer printouts.
  • Work normally requires finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination to operate the computer keyboard and 10-key.
  • Work utilizes hearing and speech to converse clearly with others.
