Job Description

Lead Inventory Control is responsible for overseeing and managing the inventory control processes within an organization. They lead a team and ensure accurate tracking, monitoring, and reporting of inventory levels. The Lead Inventory Control develops and implements inventory control procedures, conducts audits, and collaborates with other departments to optimize inventory management. They also analyze data, identify trends, and make recommendations to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency. Strong organizational and analytical skills are essential for this role.

Essential Responsibilities
• Give direction to all hourly employees in the department.
• Organize/Prioritize daily workflow to meet delivery dates.
• Mentor/Facilitate Safety Squad/Safety Program Activities.
• Coordinate inventory functions, such as fulfilling kit requests.
• Coordinate receiving functions, such as checking material and receiving into inventory.
• Coordinate shipping functions, such as packing shipments and creating shipping documents.

Minimum Qualifications
• A minimum education level of a High School Diploma or General Education Diploma is required.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, previous leadership role is considered an asset.
• Previous experience in Receiving, Stockroom and/or Shipping is considered an asset.

Skills, Abilities & Other Requirements
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Knowledge of machines and tools including their design, use, repair and maintenance.
• Basic computer knowledge, previous experience with Oracle is considered an asset.
• Positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn.
• Willingness to mentor/train new employees.
• Ability to follow directions from Supervisor.
• Effectively demonstrates on-time delivery and the ability to stay focused on goals and responsibilities.
• Self-starter with ability to take on multiple tasks with a drive to succeed.
• Challenges the status quo; looks for better or more efficient ways to get results.
• Believes and displays through actions that our customers represent our current success and remain vital to our future growth.

• Must have a basic command of the English language, both written and verbal.

• Warehouse environment - loading and unloading indoors or outdoors
• Sitting, twisting
• Frequent walking, standing, handling
• Occasionally crouching, stooping
• Operating warehouse material handling equipment
• Physical Requirements
• Pushing/pulling (100 lbs.)
• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility.
• Lifting/carrying (50 lbs.)
