This role supports our AmerisourceBergen business, which provides essential supply chain services to healthcare providers and health systems across the United States.
Under the guidance of the Systems Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective functionality of our automated equipment within a fully automated Distribution Center. Your key tasks will include diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical issues, testing, replacing, or repairing electrical systems including single-phase or three-phase systems up to 600 volts, AC and DC motors, and various components such as PLCs and HMI's. You will also be responsible for reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and performing routine preventive maintenance tasks to ensure our operations run seamlessly.
- Ensure effective preventative maintenance plans and schedules for all facility equipment and systems.
- Diagnose equipment errors in the Distribution Center and perform necessary repairs.
- Oversee maintenance and system upgrades of Materials Handling Equipment and Automated Picking Systems.
- Assess the efficiency of systems and implement upgrades as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and manage spare parts inventory.
- Be prepared to work extended hours to meet productivity goals.
- Complete related duties as assigned.
Experience & Education:
- Technical vocational training or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience, preferably with a strong electrical background.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems with an aptitude for repair and maintenance.
- Ability to read CAD layouts and electrical diagrams.
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing complex electrical and mechanical issues.
- Experience with PLC programming and configuration.
- Competence in computer hardware and software, including MS Office and MHE applications.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong communication ability.
- Detail-oriented approach to organization and maintenance of records.
