The Hospital of Central Connecticut is an acute-care community teaching hospital offering extensive inpatient and outpatient services across general medicine, surgery, and numerous specialties. Our skilled team provides a broad spectrum of care for patients at all stages of life.

As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will conduct essential diagnostic procedures using ultrasound technology to assess tissue and bodily structures. You will provide high-quality images for radiologists and physicians to interpret. Our technologists handle all ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, pelvic, gynecologic, small parts, Doppler studies, and interventional techniques. You will be instrumental in meeting the unique age-specific needs of each patient through individualized care.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an Accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program with a focus on Sonography; ARDMS credentials must be obtained prior to hire or transfer.
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - ARDMS or RDMS certification required.
  • New graduates are welcome. Proficiency in real-time imaging, color flow, Doppler, transvaginal procedures, biopsies, and other interventional practices is expected.
