Senior Quality Assurance ServiceNow Administrator

GovCIO is on the hunt for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Quality Assurance ServiceNow Administrator to take charge of managing and optimizing our ServiceNow platform. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring exceptional system performance through diligent Quality Assurance (QA) practices. You will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and enhancement of the ServiceNow platform, alongside developing and executing comprehensive QA strategies to validate system updates, workflows, and integrations. This position will be hybrid remote, based in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

ServiceNow Administration:

• Administer, configure, and maintain all aspects of the ServiceNow platform, covering key modules such as Incident, Problem, Change, Asset, CMDB, Request, and Knowledge.
• Create and implement custom applications and workflows utilizing ServiceNow Studio and Flow Designer.
• Manage user roles, access controls, and permissions to uphold data security standards.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and devise solutions that align with business goals.
• Monitor platform health, functionality, and adherence to ITIL best practices.
• Conduct routine platform audits while implementing enhancements, patches, and upgrades.
• Integrate ServiceNow with external tools and APIs as necessary.

Quality Assurance (QA):

• Develop and maintain comprehensive test cases, scripts, and scenarios to validate ServiceNow functionality.
• Carry out regression testing for new releases, enhancements, and patches.
• Perform functional and end-to-end testing of workflows, forms, business rules, and integrations.
• Identify and document bugs or issues, coordinating with developers for timely resolution.
• Ensure all changes comply with established change control processes while meeting QA standards.
• Engage in user acceptance testing (UAT) alongside stakeholders and end-users.
• Maintain thorough QA documentation, including test plans, execution results, and defect logs.

Qualifications

Must possess a Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in ServiceNow administration.
• Proficient in ServiceNow development, including scripting (JavaScript, Glide) and flow designer.
• Solid understanding of ITIL practices and frameworks; ITIL Foundation certification is preferred.
• Experience in QA processes, methodologies, and tools such as test case management and defect tracking.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Exceptional communication and documentation skills.

Clearance Required: Candidates must be U.S. citizens to obtain Top Secret Clearance.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• ServiceNow certifications (e.g., CSA, CAD) are advantageous.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with automated testing tools for ServiceNow (e.g., ATF).
• Knowledge of database structures and reporting, including Performance Analytics.
• Background in technical writing or process documentation.
