Job Overview

Heat Treating Services Unlimited Inc (HTSU) is seeking a dedicated Traveling Field Tech - Thermal Processing Equip to join our growing Field Operations team. In this role, you'll travel extensively to perform critical installations, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on thermal processing machinery at customer facilities. Key Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain industrial thermal processing equipment at customer facilities.
  • Provide emergency and scheduled repair services for production equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues and perform repairs.
  • Read and interpret manuals, work orders, diagrams, and pencil sketches.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on various machines and facility systems.
  • Perform minor plumbing and welding tasks as needed.
  • Operate hand and power tools, meters, material handling equipment safely.
  • Identify faulty operations or defective materials and report issues promptly.
  • Maintain clean and safe work environments per company and OSHA regulations.
  • Travel regularly (up to 75%) for assignments across the country.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of mechanical experience in industrial settings.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 75% (including overnights).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Ability to read manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Skilled in using hand tools, meters, and welding equipment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be safety-conscious, organized, and dependable.

Schedule
  • Full-Time - Monday to Friday
  • Weekend and overtime work may be required depending on project needs.
Location
  • This is a travel-based role requiring up to 75% travel, including local and overnight trips to customer sites across the U.S. Home base flexibility provided for qualified candidates.
