Your Role:

We are searching for a skilled Lead PHP Software Engineer to be an integral part of our Agile development team. In this position, you will own vital features that cater to over 5 million active users, continuously enhancing them to strengthen our users' security in the digital realm.

Team Overview:

You will collaborate with the Engineering Team focused on LastPass' Secure Access Experiences, which offer a seamless, agentless approach to Identity and Access Management (IAM) for diverse business needs. Your efforts will work alongside Product and QA teams to deliver cutting-edge features.

What You Will Do:

1. Produce high-quality code and take charge of all development stages: planning, design, implementation, deployment, and maintenance.
2. Quickly debug and troubleshoot issues to provide top-notch user support.
3. Actively engage in team discussions, promoting best practices and industry standards.
4. Share knowledge, conduct pull request reviews, mentor peers, and propose product enhancements.
5. Participate in requirements analysis, planning, and estimation activities.
6. Collaborate with product owners and UX designers to meet project timelines.
7. Assist Product Management in balancing cost and value, avoiding unnecessary features and technical debt.
8. Develop, test, and maintain solutions, coordinating effectively with other teams.
9. Maintain internal technical documentation, participate in code reviews, and engage in community-driven decision-making.
10. Uphold coding and design guidelines, influence technical direction, follow established processes, and mentor mid-level engineers.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in developing web applications using PHP.
• Strong grasp of web infrastructure, HTTP, and RESTful services.
• Familiarity with OOP best practices, SOLID principles, and Clean Code concepts.
• Experience with PHP design patterns.
• Understanding of PHP security practices, including XSS and SQL Injection prevention techniques.
• Basic knowledge of Docker and web security.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
• Awareness of best practices and the ability to apply them effectively.
• Capability to manage complex tasks efficiently.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a holistic view of software development.
• Effective knowledge sharing and mentoring skills.

Preferred, but Not Required:

• Basic experience with React.
• Basic experience with Redux.
