Job Description
  • Develop accurate cost estimates for civil construction projects.
  • Analyze project requirements, specifications, and drawings to determine costs.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure cost-effective solutions.
  • Prepare and present detailed bid proposals and budgets.
  • Monitor project budgets and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend value engineering solutions.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors for accurate pricing data.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and construction methods.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Civil Construction Estimator should have:
  • Proven experience in construction estimation within the property industry.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Proficiency in estimation software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Knowledge of local construction codes and regulations in CT
  • General knowledge of building and construction codes
