TPMO Program Manager

This role supports the Technology Portfolio Management Office (TPMO) and is responsible for supporting portfolio and operational activities including organizational alignment status reporting, program governance, and TPMO rhythm of business. The goal of this work is to accelerate the establishment of portfolio centralization and governance to support the implementation of a Technology PMO.
A day in the life:
The ideal candidate will have a history of results-driven experience supporting large cross-functional teams that operate in a complex-matrixed organization. They must thrive in fast-paced environments, be able to manage through ambiguity, maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, and be able to drive value driven results to support a fast-growing business.
The Technology Portfolio Management Office (TPMO) sits in the center of Technology's delivery model and aims to standardize processes and ways of working throughout the technology continuum. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills with extensive project management/program management skills to support identify and eliminate bottlenecks, enable escalation management, and balance capability requirements.
As a Program manager you will be responsible for working closely with Portfolio managers within the TPMO and building strong relationships with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence and process standardization. Responsibilities:
- Manages execution of a program roadmap of prioritized capabilities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Define scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with workstream leads.
- Drive program governance, including policies and procedures
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple interconnected capabilities
- Coordinate with portfolio managers to ensure timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate regular meetings with stakeholders to gather updated and feedback
- Prepare and present program reports, status updates and performance metrics to senior management
- Resolve conflicts and address issues that may impact program success
- Identify and assess program risks, implementing risk management plans and contingency strategies.
- Address and resolve program issues promptly, escalating when necessary
Education:
- Bachelors' degree in Business Administration, project management, engineering or a related field. A master's degree or PMP/PMI certification is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in program or project management, with a proven track record of successfully management complex programs.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience working technology or related field
- Change Management Certification (PROSCI) nice to have
- Process Improvement Certification (Lean Six Sigma) nice to have
