About the Role
Join our dynamic production team as an Optical Mechanical Repair Specialist. In this position, you will engage in intricate technical functions involving the assembly, calibration, and troubleshooting of advanced robotics, laser, UV optical, and other opto-mechanical systems. Success in this role demands a high degree of precision, exceptional problem-solving capabilities, and experience working in a cleanroom environment.

What You'll Do

  • Assemble, adjust, calibrate, and align optical-mechanical components and systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair optical-mechanical systems down to the component level.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with motion systems (X, Y, Z axis), focus, and pneumatic pressure.
  • Interpret and work from fabrication drawings, assembly instructions, and Bills of Material (BOMs).
  • Analyze test data and confirm equipment performance under operational conditions.
  • Utilize precision tools including calipers, micrometers, gauge blocks, and feeler gauges.
  • Collaborate with engineers to clarify design details and overcome assembly challenges.
  • Assist with special projects as necessary.

What We're Looking For

  • Associate's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in optical-mechanical assembly and troubleshooting.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Familiarity with optical properties and the effects of lenses and mirrors is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
  • Working Conditions:
  • Willingness to work occasional non-standard hours or overtime as needed.
