Network Security Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in autonomous mobility, is seeking a Network Security Engineer to join their team. As a Network Security Engineer, you will be part of the Security Operations Department supporting the IT and Security teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Foster City, CA
Pay Range :$83/hour
What's the Job?
- Support the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of network security systems including firewalls, URL filtering, IDS/IPS, and network access controls.
- Assist in designing and deploying AWS network security solutions such as Security Groups, NACLs, and Transit Gateway architectures.
- Manage and support remote access VPNs and ensure secure network connectivity for all users.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine security policies and procedures.
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents to protect organizational data and systems.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience supporting production network security environments.
- At least 3+ years of IT systems, application engineering, or administration experience.
- Hands-on experience with AWS network security services including AWS Network Firewall, Security Groups, and NACLs.
- Practical knowledge of PKI, cryptography, and certificates.
- Strong understanding of the OSI model and Layer-7 protection techniques related to network security.
