As a Lead Accountant, your expertise will drive our financial operations and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. You will collaborate with various teams and stakeholders, ensuring accurate record-keeping and robust financial reporting.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with US GAAP.
  • General Ledger Management: Oversee the general ledger, ensuring timely posting of journal entries, reconciliations, and closure of financial periods.
  • Accounts Payable: Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure prompt and accurate processing of financial obligations.
  • Account Reconciliations: Conduct reconciliations of bank accounts and intercompany transactions, ensuring accuracy across accounts.
  • Revenue Recognition: Support proper revenue recognition in line with contractual agreements and accounting standards (ASC 606).
  • Audit Support: Provide assistance to external auditors during audits, ensuring timely and thorough completion.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for enhanced accounting processes and implement scalable solutions.
  • Internal Controls: Aid in the development and monitoring of internal controls, safeguarding company assets and ensuring compliance.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Support various projects, from system implementations to financial analyses and research.

What We're Looking For:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a startup or high-growth environment.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting procedures.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, BILL, and advanced spreadsheet skills.
  • A proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teams.
  • High level of integrity and a commitment to confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in cross-border, multi-currency, or multi-entity environments.
  • Background in the SaaS industry.
  • Familiarity with revenue recognition standards (ASC 606).
  • Experience with US and/or Global payroll.
