ER RN Travel Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Location: Jersey City, NJ 07302 (New Jersey healthcare jobs)
• Facility: Level II Trauma Center, Emergency Department (64 beds)
• Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:15)
• Hours per Week: 35.25
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1880 - $2020 per week
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required
• Holiday Policy: Must be available to work 2 of the 3 winter holidays
• Orientation: 2 shifts

ER Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active NJ or Compact RN license (required at time of submission)
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care experience as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse
• Level II Trauma experience required; Level I Trauma and teaching hospital experience preferred
• Experience providing nursing care for both adult and pediatric patients
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (required at time of submission)
• Stroke and Trauma CEUs (required)
• Completion of de-escalation training within 14 days of start date (traveler pays $50 directly to vendor)
• First-time travel nurses accepted
• References required
• Ability to float within skillset as needed
• Scrub color: Navy blue

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting
• Manage patient ratios of 1:4-6 based on acuity and department area
• Care for a diverse patient population: adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Perform triage, manage arterial and central lines, CPAP/BiPAP, IV vasopressors, and ventilated patients
• Respond to trauma and stroke emergencies as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Accurately document care using the facility's electronic charting system
• Participate in ongoing training and compliance modules as required
• Collaborate with PCT/Tech support and other clinical professionals
• Adhere to all attendance, compliance, and scheduling policies
